This exam is conducted by CBSE. Candidates have to go thorough JNVST in Class-V and 80 meritorious students get admission in Class-VI. There is another JNVST that is conducted for students of Class-VIII, on qualifying which some meritorious students get admission into Class-IX depending upon the vacancies of the same JNV. JNVST for Class-VI consists of 3 sections, Mental Ability, Arithmetic and Regional language skills. The duration of the exam is two hours. There is no fee for the exam.
Eligibility Criteria
JNVST for Class-VI
There are some criteria need to be satisfied to become eligible for JNVST. The criteria are listed below. a)The candidate must be studying in Class-V in any recognised school. b)Must have studied and passed Class:III, IV and V c)There must be a jnv for the district in which the students is studying in. d)The candidate must be of age group 9 to 13 irrespective of the category. e)The candidates are allowed to sit for JNVST only once in any circumstances.
